Just returned from Japan where one of our booked hotels was the Royal Park Hotel Iconic Tokyo Shiodome. We absolutely loved it! The hotel is very modern and spotlessly clean. Our room was great: although I expected "Japan-sized" (smaller than North America) I was pleasantly surprised with the space we had, and what was included in the room. We had a very large king bed for 2 persons, a desk, a small sofa and table, a mini fridge, a kitchen set for 2 (silverware, plates, wine glasses, coffee/tea cups), and ample storage for our things. In fact, we found two more huge drawers under the couch on our last day that we entirely missed! The bathroom was spacious with a tub and enclosed shower area with plenty of hot water and great water pressure. We were on the 33rd floor and had a lovely view of the river, bridges, and park. Never saw cleaning staff nor even their cart but the room was always spotless for us. Pajamas, hotel safe, all the toiletries, TV, even a doorbell :) At the base of the hotel tower are a number of restaurants in the plaza (Japanese, Italian, Indian, Thai, Chinese, bakery, cafes, a Starbucks (3rd floor of plaza) and a FamilyMart for all your sundries and quick eats. There's also a 100-Yen shop (dollar store) just a step away within the entrance to the subway. The hotel plaza is directly connected to the subway and sits between Shiodome and Shimbashi stations. I would definitely stay here again!
